On Friday 30th and Saturday29th Pattaya hosts the 2024 International Fireworks Festival bring together teams from five different countries, each competing to showcase their stunning pyrotechnic artistry. We encourage everyone to come and see this spectacular event.
Khun Ekarat Khunsri, director of the Pattaya Branch of the Marine Department, has sent us some safety information to ensure the event goes off safely, including details of an exclusion zone. It is prohibited for boats to enter close to the barges used for lighting fireworks at the International Fireworks Festival, and must keep outside a radius of 0.3 nautical miles or not less than 500 meters between 29-30 November 2024.
The anchorage points for boats involved in organizing the event (e.g., fireworks barges, safety patrol boats) or those granted special permission may operate within restricted zones set at a distance of approximately 500 meters from the
beach as follows:
North side
latitude 12 degrees 56 minutes 28 seconds North.
Longitude 100 degrees 52 minutes 47 seconds East
South side
Latitude 12 degrees 56 minutes 23 seconds North.
Longitude 100 degrees 52 minutes 45 seconds East.
