One Design Platu Championship 2024

Ocean Marina Jomtien is hosting the highly competitive World Sailing accredited, International Platu class. Currently there are 10 boats located at Ocean Marina Jomtien & we are actively adding more Platus to the One Design fleet.

Located just 90 minutes South from Bangkok (BKK) Suvarnabhumi International airport, Ocean Marina Jomtien has world class facilities & is the largest Marina in ASEAN, accommodating a diverse range of marine craft from superyachts to the Platu fleet & dinghy sailing.

The Platu25 is a class of Sports Yacht that is an agile, sleek and cost-efficient club racer.

The specific design of the Platu25 and its need for a well-organised crew of five, that makes it popular for professional & amateur crews to hone their skills and promotes fast, close and exhilarating racing.

Each Platu is dry stored on the hard stand to keep them in prime Racing condition. The intense competition of the fleet attracts the best sailors from around the world to race in this series. In recent years OMJ & Platu Thailand have welcomed sailors from Hong Kong, United Kingdom, USA, Latvia, Estonia, Netherlands, Denmark, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Greece, New Zealand & of course Thailand have participated.

If you want to bring your Platu just send us a message, the hard stand is available for Non-Members at very affordable rates.

Ocean Marina also has its own hotel, so you can ‘stay where you play’.
